The Coalition of Communities of Color (CCC) invites our members and partners to a discussion with Climate and Environmental Justice Leaders. The goals of the discussion are:

  • Visioning of what’s possible with Just Transition: Solutions in OR/WA
  • Strategy for Carbon Pricing and equitable climate policy
  • How Can we Work Together? Areas for Collaboration

Dionne Foster, Policy Analyst, Puget Sound Sage (Washington)

Puget Sound Sage’s mission is to build communities where all families thrive. Using a combination of research, policy, leadership development, and civic engagement, Puget Sound Sage is creating equitable and sustainable solutions for some of the region’s most pressing problems. Dionne Foster is passionate about using community-powered research to inform policy decisions and support social movements. Dionne is responsible for advancing Sage's climate work.

Joel Iboa, EJ Outreach Manager, Beyond Toxics (Oregon)

Beyond Toxics works to guarantee environmental protections and health for all communities and residents. We expose root causes of toxic pollution and help communities find effective, lasting solutions.

Jill Mangaliman, Executive Director, Got Green (Washington)

Got Green is a grassroots group in the Seattle area led by young adults and people of color that promotes the movement for an equitable, green economy as the best way to fight poverty and global warming at the same time. Founded in 2008, Got Green has quickly established itself as an authentic voice from communities of color on economic, racial and gender justice issues within the framework of this new, green economy.
