Welcome! We’re glad you’re here.

The Research Justice Institute (RJI) at the Coalition of Communities of Color (CCC) has created this tool to support you with advancing one or several of the calls to action in Chapter 7 of the report, “Cultivating Belonging in Clackamas County: A Research Justice Study.”

The tool consists of four parts:

1) Assess: Determining your organization’s capacity for advancing a recommendation and whether external community buy-in is needed.

2) Implement: Institutionalize the recommendation to ensure its longevity and sustainability.

3) Track: Take stock of recommendations that can’t yet be moved forward and need to be revisited later, likely to due to insufficient organizational capacity.

4) Evaluate: Understand and evaluate the impact of a recommendation that’s been implemented and how it is cultivating belonging.

If this sounds helpful, let’s begin.

Start by reviewing the calls to action summarized to the left. Then, go to the page in the report to choose a recommendation associated with your desired call to action.

Once you’ve chosen a recommendation, begin by clicking on the link to Step 1 below.

IMPORTANT!

  • We recognize that this tool cannot address all of the intricacies of an organization’s processes for decision-making. It will, however, help you move the recommendation through some common roadblocks and provide guidance on what actions can be taken.

  • Once you’ve worked through the tool and think it’s is a good start, but would like discuss further with us, please visit our Research Justice Institute page to learn about how you can work with us.
