At CCC, we know real change doesn’t happen alone. It happens when communities come together, collaborate, and show up for one another.
CCC’s Executive Director, Marcus Mundy, CCC’s Advocacy Manager, Alex Riedlinger, and CCC members met earlier this year with Multnomah County Chair Jessica Vega-Pederson to discuss the Sun Schools initiative.
Our work is driven by a growing coalition of culturally specific community-based organizations across Oregon. Together, we are advancing racial justice and protecting the resources our communities rely on.
Together, our coalition is advocating for:
Equitable access to resources for Oregon’s communities of color like energy assistance, food access, housing assistance, K-12 student success and summer learning initiatives, early childhood and prenatal care, accessible parks programs and more.
Defending local investments like universal preschool, homelessness services, and climate resilience. We recently partnered with others to bring a legal challenge against a ballot initiative aimed at undermining the Portland Clean Energy Community Benefits Fund and its commitment to climate justice for communities of color.
Advancing policies supporting immigrants with housing, food, legal services, case management, and safeguards for vulnerable communities from housing discrimination and immigration enforcement.
With Oregon Water Futures Collaborative, CCC’s Climate & Health Coordinator testifies at the Oregon State Legislature about water equity.

CCC staff joined our coalition member Unite Oregon on their Day of Action in Salem earlier this spring.
This work is sustained by people who believe in collective care, shared responsibility, and community-led solutions. Your support helps ensure this coalition can continue advocating for equity and justice across Oregon.
If you’re able, consider making a gift by December 31 to help carry this work into the new year.
